WatchWatch
I’ve mentioned Daedelus many times before on this blog and to friends of mine. But I think I have yet to make believers of most of you. He is not your way too common and usual Serato DJ, or the type that hits play and pretends to be performing (unfortunately Justice I’m looking at you). This L.A. native uses a laptop filled with thousands of samples, loops, beats and feeds them into...

INDIE 103.1 R.I.P.!?
This is one of the saddest days I wish I didnt have to talk about… Indie 103 is getting the kiss of death and are being moved to online only. Remember Groove 103.1? Well they made the same move due to lack luster ratings. But according to radio contacts they are changing it to yet another spanish station. A genre known as Gato to be specific. According to insiders spanish stations is where...

And The Good Shows Start Rolling In
The month of Dec really sucked for music shows. there were a few gems but nothing really stellar. But now Goldenvoice starts releasing the lists for the upcoming shows and it gave me a bit of a smile today. Cold War Kids w/Crystal Antlers at THE ORPHEUM March 27. I would have seen Crystal Antlers alone, but opening for Cold War Kids! Not only that but at a under used venue! Black Kids at The...

Beck, Hot Chip, and Franz Ferdinand To Cover Rock...
In an amazing idea to raise money for charity to help those in war-torn countries, rock legends such as Bowie, Iggy Pop, and Bob Dylan were asked to choose one song to be redone and also by who. The end product is a kick ass line up of artist doing covers that one can only imagine the interpretation. Below is the tracklisting for the album named HEROES, which will be released Feb 24 on...

I made my first visit to the Redwood last night, and now I am regretting that I never did it earlier. The inside is done up all pirate ship like, and that alone makes it really stand apart. I didn’t get a chance to try the food but from the looks of it their servings are big and the prices are...
