Time to feature another band on the 2012 Coachella line up that is lower on the list, but definitely worth getting to know. This time we’re going to have to mention one of our favorite local bands The Growlers. Many of you that are a little more familiar with the L.A. music scene probably are well aware of this band and their surf rock/psyched out style. But if you’re not… Get these guys on your ” to be downloaded soon” list ASAP.
I first came across The Growlers shortly before the release of their 2010 album “Hot Tropics” and became a total believer after their headlining spot at the first Silver Lake Jubilee. Their live sets are high energy and always get their crowds dancing, screaming along and even the occasional flying bodies off the stage. Take a listen to a couple of my favorite tracks “Sea Lion Goth Blues” and “Something Someone Jr.” below and get ready to see The Growlers play live at this years sold out Coachella Music and Arts Festival on Sunday, April 15th and 22nd.
